Fish and chips, hard to mess up. Had salmon and cod, both cooked well.
I got the "smoked" fish and chips (as opposed to fried) and the clam chowder. The salmon was absolutely disgusting. Like I was almost gagging. It is as if they thawed out some expired pink salmon and then boiled it for a minute. I forced myself to take a few bites because I was hungry but then threw it away. Would have asked for my money back but I didn't feel like a confrontation. The clam chowder was really good though.
This is the best fish and chips place on the Seattle waterfront!
This is good for a quick bite. I had the smoked salmon and it was tasty and my husband had the cod 3 piece fish and chips. There are only potatoes and coleslaw as side options. It was mid price in my opinion. I think if would be great if there were a couple vegetables as a side option. Fish and chips were very good but greasy.
$3.25 for a hot chocolate....the same paper packet one's you buy at a super market. No marahmmarshm, no whip, nothing. How lazy can they be?
good taste although small portions
Salomon taco was great, served us the wrong beer though :)
Do not come here. Way overpriced, food tastes like it was from a frozen microwave dinner. Go anywhere else but here, trust me. Way better food all in Seattle. I would get a refund if I could.
Work nearby and go here fairly often. Don't really understand the really negative reviews other than the complaints that it can be a bit pricey. Some are probably just cheapskates, though, and some others sound like whiny people in general. Usually get the cod or shrimp fish & chips and they've always been just fine.
We have been coming to this place for 10+ years, Love to sit outside on the deck under an umbrella across from the tour boat, The smoked cod is wonderful. Generous portion -- where else for alder smoked fish. And the Alaska amber draft is a nice complement to the meal. And it is a good place to meet European tourists as it is in their guide books. We ate tonight at little Chinooks (Fisherman's terminal north of the Ballard Bridge) and the serving sizes were laughable. The experience made me write this review on an excellent place !
Got the salmon fried fish and chips. Definitely not fresh caught, tasted very fishy. Small portions for the price. Used to be better.
Expensive and the fish did not taste good. The salmon was not seasoned at all, just battered and fried
The best part of our meal was the Cole slaw. The dr. Pepper was flat, the staff seemed annoyed to be working, the fries were soggy, and the staff took my food before I was finished. The crab was okay but the overall experience had me so turned off I couldn’t properly enjoy my meal. I would not recommend!!!
Fisherman's stew, no fish just vegetables Clam chowder thin based
Average food, nothing special. I expected higher quality for the price. I had the popcorn shrimp and clam chowder and they both were lacking basic seasoning, especially the popcorn shrimp.
Overpriced, dry halibut, below average fries.
Farm raised salmon!!! Yuck to the max!
The best grilled salmon in town. Cooked over alder- go next door and get some sourdough bread from the bakery a few steps away and have it with your clam chowder. Every time I go I get great service and great grilled salmon.
Rego and Gerado stepped up and made my night. My friend came out from Michagan and I wanted to impress. The smoked halibut was extraordinary and they made a great impression. .
Over cooked rubbery king crab legs and the nastiest oysters I’ve eve.r had. Total waste of money.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Yum, yum, yummy and fun too!
It was expensive and okay, but my girlfriend got food poisoning from there. Might’ve given it a 3/5 otherwise
We loved the family atmosphere. The staff was so warm and friendly. The food was good. The baked oysters (7/10) were a bit fishy but tasty. The crab toast (10/10) is a bargain! The 3 slices make for a yummy hearty meal/snack. We enjoyed a side of fries with ranch dressing also...yummy and reasonable. $2 and some change for the fries.
Awesome food! Great customer service! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's a bit on the pricey side for what we ordered. All in all, good stuff!!
We were very disappointed today after always having a great experience at the salmon cooker. Prices went up and the smoked cod was cold. At 3pm they had run out of smoked cod but didn't say anything until after we had paid; did substitute salmon for one of the cod order. Again the salmon was cold. Spent $30 for two cod and chips and one small soda. Will need to reconsider going back.
I have been eating here for the past 40 years. I am a big fan of the alder smoker halibut and the potato wedge fries. Rego and the crew that work there always provide exceptional customer service every time I eat there.
Ordered a Po Boy Shrimp, side fries and a cup of clam chowder. Chowder was delicious! Tasty sandwich, the bun seemed fresh, and shrimp were hot and crispy. Fish tacos could have done with a but more fish, and the fries would have tasted better if they were hot. Wait wasn't too bad considering a sunny day. Price was okay, a little high but so were a lot of places at the pier. Outside seating on a sunny patio was nice. Nice food!
First off, the menu didn't make any sense, and when I asked about a particular item they gave a half assed description. The staff was very rude and made it seem like I was imposing on them by being a customer. The food was terrible, I hope this place closes soon.
Their smoked salmon is consistently excellent.
Very small portions for price of seafood. Food is bland. Never going back.
2 stars for friendly staff. 12.00 for chicken fingers, I don't have a problem with the price, however they give you 3 & they're small. Never again!
Wood smoked salmon was amazing!
Resturaunt was mediocre. Food was okay. Shrimp had extra grease dripping from it, fried were under cooked and they messed up my fiance's diet soda. They gave him a rootbeer and he's diabetic! Good thing I tested it first! Place was a mess, trays, smelly liquid and garbage on the tables, ketchup pump empty with ketchup all over the counter, trash on the ground and employees standing around doing nothing. This was on a Sunday night also. Next time I'll try a different place to eat.
Good location terrible fish and chips
The best smoked salmon and clam chowder bread bowl I've ever had. Friendly service, would definitely recommend to anyone who's in town or around the Seattle Piers.
If this were the first time coming here, I'd never come back again! After a major remodeling project, they opened, not being prepared to serve items listed on the menu. Having gone here several times, my favorite item was the smoked grilled salmon...it was not available on this visit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you don't open the doors until you are ready to serve your entire menu.
Smoked fish, hand cut chips, sourdough bread, chowder without bacon, beer. What else could you want on the Seattle water front?
Service is just okay, prices are bad. The fish with the fish and chips was good but the fries aren't. Mussels from here tasted like a sewer or a diaper. Worst I've ever had. Atmosphere is pleasant I guess.
Good fish and chips, but a bit pricey
The salmon fish and chips are pure fire
One of my favorite tourist restaurants downtown Seattle. Grab a quick bite and sit outside, if you like. The smoked salmon never disappoints!
Fresh oysters were very good but smoked salmon was overcooked, too dry and tasteless. Clam chowder is just regular from my point of view. Considering what I paid and what I got, this place deserves a low grade.
Halibut n chips are alright. $18 is pretty normal for halibut n chips anywhere you go. Still not quite on the level of Ivar's or Anthony's fish bars
Tourist trap! Way overpriced and the food quality was poor. You're paying for the convenience of sitting at the pier.
The icecream was good, but if you want to try the Popcorn Shrimp, I would suggest not. The shrimp is really small and tastes frozen. If you need to use the washroom though, they have a pretty clean one, but for customers only.
I bought the combo bag with clams, mussels, shrimp, and sausage. I was shocked at the small portion size when it arrived. So was my boyfriend who ordered the two piece halibut with jojos. After returning home, I spent the night curled up in a fetal position with the worst stomach pains. Now, the next day, I am still experiencing food poisoning. I would not recommend to anyone.
Location is good in Seattle SERIVCE is terrible tables are dirty, waitress ignor customers not helpful, orders take an eternity waited over 20 mins for a simple Coca-Cola and expensive. This location takes advantage of the location, regarding service and quality its very poor.
Very small portions and expensive. Baked oysters taste good but they are very small.
Good fresh food. Nice warm seating even on colder day.
Fresh seafood, quick and reasonable price, the outdoor dining area is very cozy, clean and plentiful with waterfront view of Seattle wheel 🎡.
